WORLD BUILDER

LIGHTING IS KEY TO
CONVEYING AND
CREATING THE WORLD AND
THE FEELINGS EXPRESSED

EDUCATOR

I AM WHO I AM
BECAUSE OF THE
TEACHERS IN MY LIFE. I
SEEK TO CONTINUE THEIR LEGACY BY SHARING MY KNOWLEDGE WITH THE
NEXT GENERATION.

Jeremiah is the Assistant Professor of Lighting and Sound Design at the University of Kentucky. He earned an MFA in Lighting design from Indiana University in 2023 after completing a BFA in Rock Concert Technology from Northern Kentucky University in 2020.

Live performance requires a team of experts to produce. Jeremiah prides himself on the way he is able to understand his peers and incorporate their perspectives into the work he produces. Jeremiah brings a powerful collaborative spirit and humility to the design process.

A passionate storyteller, Jeremiah finds his place ensuring others are heard and seen on stage. He approaches design as a world building endeavor. Lighting and sound create the environments the characters occupy, reflecting the emotions, ideas, and actions of the characters.

From being homeschooled through his Master's degree, Jeremiah was influenced by a remarkable collection of teachers, professors, and collaborators. These mentor's inspired Jeremiah to pursue a career as an educator, passing on the lessons, creativity, and love that was poured into him as a student.
Jeremiah lives in Frankfort, Kentucky with his wife Brandy. When not working on shows or homework, He enjoys college football and constructing LEGO.

I will reach out soon!
